Location Information Usage

Collection of Location Information: We may collect and process your location information through our apps, including GPS data, when you use certain features of the app. This includes both foreground and background states of the app. The information collected may include the precise or approximate location of your mobile device.

Why we collect Location Information: Location information is collected to enhance the functionality of our services, including but not limited to:

1. Personalized User Inputs: We use your location to provide more accurate and context-specific e-forms for user inputs. This may involve identifying the location of an ATTENDANCE, TASK interaction (such as at a specific business site or public transport station) to improve service delivery or data analysis for that location.

2. Service Improvements: By understanding the geographical context in which our services are used, we can improve the ATTENDANCE, TASK process, optimize service delivery, and generate meaningful insights for our business partners.

3. Security and Fraud Detection: Location data helps us ensure the security of our services by verifying our identity and detecting potential fraudulent activity, especially during the use of ATTENDANCE, TASK systems that rely on geo-location to authenticate interactions.

4. Operational Efficiency: For our applications, location data may be used to assist in the timely dispatch of maintenance services or support crews, based on where an issue or ATTENDANCE, TASK, GRIEVANCE is reported.

Background Usage of Location Data:
The app may collect location information even when it is running in the background. This is essential for enabling continuous and real-time services, such as monitoring user inputs or task e-forms at specific points of interaction, ensuring seamless service delivery, and improving user experience by providing location-based suggestions or alerts even when the app is not actively being used.

For example, in the case of our Gaia's applications , background location tracking allows us to monitor areas that need attention or capture data passively at locations where user inputs kiosks or devices are installed, e-tasks are done, attendances are submitted, thus improving the responsiveness of the overall system.

User Control over Location Data:
You have control over how your location data is collected and can modify these permissions through permission request prompts or through your device's settings. You may disable location services at any time, but please note that disabling location tracking may limit certain functionalities of the app.

Update note:
This addition clarifies how and why the app uses location information, including when the app is running in the background, while also assuring users that they retain control over their location data.
